Our software for Gerber data (i.e. .gbr, .ger and .pho - artwork files) easily manipulates and exports files into .dxf data for our engineers.
When sending Gerber files use the standard RS274-X format (which has all aperture files embedded) and include the following layers:
- Top Side Solder Mask
- Top Side Silkscreen
- Bottom Side Solder Mask
- Bottom Side Silkscreen
- Bottom Side Solder Paste
- Assembly/Fabrication File
- Read Me File (tells us file names, part number of your circuit board and the format the files were created in)
NOTE: Ground and voltage layers are not necessary to send
AutoCAD 2009 or below 2D or 3D drawings, .dwg, .dxf, .sat, .iges files are also acceptable formats of data to send via e-mail or our FTP Site. Sending 2D files, adding text with depths is a more efficient process.
Whatever your data format please include maximum bottom side component depth for our Engineers.
